いきものがかり - 流星ミラクル (Ryuusei Miracle)

“Ryuusei Miracle” by Ikimono-gakari is the OP theme for「天保異聞 あやかしあやし」(Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi). I didn’t realize that it was an OP theme for an anime series when I first got the single, but realized it later when I marathoned the series. Speaking of which, it is a great pity that the series got such a low rating and viewership despite a refreshing storyline and excellent production value. Needless to say, I really enjoyed watching Ayakashi Ayashi.
“Kaidoku Funou” is Jinn’s third single, and also the second OP theme for「コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ」(Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch). While many fans of Code Geass have expressed their dislike of this song, this single boosted Jinn in the top ten in the Oricon Charts for the first time.
The first time that I came across Ikimono-gakari was their first single, “SAKURA”, but I didn’t pay attention to them too much though I liked the song. “HANABI”, though really made an impression on me as the 7th ED theme of Bleach.
“Raion” by Jinn is their first single, and also the 4th OP theme for the anime Blood+. “Raion” could be said to be the song that gained them national fame when they appeared for the first time on Music Station (a music TV program in Japan) performing live on national TV.
