Figure Review: Guitar Bunny Suzumiya Haruhi from Bubba

Oharuhi-sama Approved!

When I first saw this figure on the Internet a couple of months ago, I wished that I could get it. Unfortunately, it was a limited production garage kit, so a disheartened me decided to forget about it. A couple of weeks ago, I saw this figure on the shelf in a GK store, and I immediately pre-ordered one. The rest as they say, is history.

Suzumiya Haruhi on Dengeki Hobby

Since there are so much Suzumiya Haruhi news recently, I might as well add some myself. First, there’ the Bubba’s Nagato Yuki, which I also covered earlier. Then there’s the rumor concerning Suzumiya Haruhi’s licensing via the asosbrigade.com. (And related, the fake 404 error on haruhi.tv) Last but by far not the least, there’s Oharuhi-sama’s picture on a protest poster in Gaza. Compared to the above, scanning Dengeki Hobby seems quite lame, but it’s the least I could do to contribute. So, without further ado, here’s the scans.

Figure News: Nagato Yuki from Bubba

I just saw this on TJ_Han’s site, and this totally left me speechless…. While I can’t say that I like the designs too much, but I think it’s rapidly growing on me. For one thing, there’s too much skin, which in my mind is very out of character for Yuki, and second, she doesn’t have a book on her.

Preview: Figures Photo Shoot

I was going to upload the Haruhi photos tonight, but I had more work than expected. Instead, here’s a preview of what’s to come. Sorry for the teaser, but I’m kinda beat right now….

Depending on how work intensive the photoshopping is going to be, I might end up posting them later than expected, but I will get them done… before next year.
