Angela Aki – 孤独のカケラ (Kodoku no kakera)

I first heard of Angela Aki when her single for FFXII – Kiss Me Goodbye was released. Since then, her music have not disappointed. 心の戦士 (Kokoro no Senshi) her actual first single, was very strong and powerful, and “This Love”, ED for Blood+ was certainly lovely.

While サクラ色 (Sakurairo) was probably not as strong as an offering, 孤独のカケラ (Kodoku no kakera) seriously made up for it. Theme song for TBS doroma series「孤独の賭け〜愛しき人よ〜」it is a very emotional and powerful song. The video is a live performance of her song, and most people who like her agrees that seeing is, in fact, believing. Her live performances are incredible, and really shows off her voice and skills as a singer. Watch it yourselves.
