This site started as a joke between me and my friend. When I bought my first anime figure, I joking said, “Now that I bought my first anime figure, I just need to start blogging about anime to become a full-blown otaku!”

Well, here I am (Not that I’m admitting to being an otaku 😛 ). I’ve always been interested in blogs. I read them, and I comment on ’em. A number of my family members have blogs. And since starting to work in Hong Kong, the idea of a blog for keeping my friends in the US apprised of what’s happened to me appealed to me. So here we are: blog about me, my hobbies, and anything related (or not).

I was the owner of AnimeMusicNetwork until its demise, when I became too lazy to update it any longer. Actually I was planning on updating all the realmedia files to low bitrate mp3s when Simplenet got bought by Yahoo, but it was waaaay too much work. Mp3s also don’t stream very in those days.

Born in Hong Kong and moved to the US since high school, I’ve always been interested in anime, video games, music, and reading. Like most kids in Hong Kong, I grew up on a steady diet of Captain Tsubasa, Dragon Ball, and Macross. Unfortunately, I only had access to commercially available VHS tapes so my anime consumption went straight downing during that period. However, it was also during that time that I became a big Yoko Kanno fan, probably because I only have enough money to buy Macross Plus. It was not unlike college when I discovered fansubs when my anime appetite fully blossomed. The rest as they say, is history.

Currently, I’m working full time, but thanks to the Internet, I could keep myself occupied in the off hours with anime and dorama series. Unfortunately, it also is fueling my need to buy anime and dorama related merchandize. Oh yeah, much due to my interest in anime and j-dorama, I’m learning Japanese on my own.
